Description
Application: Detroit Diesel marine heat exchanger core, believed to fit 6-71 and 4-53 inline engines (reference OEM p/n 23520298; compare also 8509553 / 8543803 for V-71 / 6V-92 / 8V-92). Tube-and-shroud style core with round raw-water inlet neck and bolted end-plate flange.
Condition: Used take-off core. Exterior is rusty with scale and mineral deposits, some fin damage and one deformed tube end visible. Best suited as a recore/rebuild candidate or exchange core — not pressure tested. Drained and ports capped for shipping.
