Description
Application: Air inlet housing / blower intake elbow for Detroit Diesel 8V71 and 8V92 series marine diesel engines (also used on related 6V/12V configurations) — ducts turbocharger discharge air into the Roots blower inlet. Cast aluminum, twin rectangular blower-flange ports at the base and a round turbo inlet tube at the top, with a side sensor/signal port.
Condition: Used take-off. Exterior paint is peeling and the casting shows oxidation, surface rust on the blower flange, and a chipped corner on one mounting ear. No cracks noted in photos but the casting has not been pressure-tested. Sold as-is for rebuild, restoration, or as a core.
