Application: Detroit Diesel 71-Series V-block engine (8V-71 / likely also 6V-71) flywheel / gear housing — the rear bell housing and front gear-train case casting for the 71-series marine and industrial diesel engines. Provides the SAE flywheel bore, starter mount, rear main seal pocket, and the accessory/gear drive bores at the front of the engine.
Condition: Used take-off in Detroit Diesel green with surface rust on machined faces. Casting appears complete and sound in the photos; no visible cracks noted. Sold without hardware, dowels, or seals unless shown.
